The DSEI60-06A is a 600 V / 60 A IXYS fast recovery epitaxial diode (FRED) in the isolated TO-247AD package, with a very short recovery time and low switching losses. A fast recovery diode is the natural partner for an IGBT or MOSFET in the freewheeling path of an inverter, the antiparallel diode of a switching device, a snubber or clamp, the rectifier of a high-frequency converter, and the anti-saturation or freewheeling diode of an inductive load, so it is one of the most widely used power devices in medium-power equipment. The planar-passivated chip offers low leakage current and improved thermal behavior, and the short recovery reduces reverse-recovery loss and switching noise in hard-switched circuits.
