DSEP60-06A
600 V / 60 A IXYS DSEP soft fast recovery diode in TO-247-2 for low-EMI freewheeling and snubber duty.
The DSEP60-06A is a 600 V / 60 A IXYS fast recovery epitaxial diode (FRED) in the TO-247-2 package, tuned for soft recovery. Where the DSEI version emphasizes the shortest recovery time, the DSEP version trades a slightly longer recovery for softer behavior, which reduces the current snap at turn-off and therefore cuts voltage overshoot and EMI in hard-switched converters. A soft recovery diode is the natural partner for an IGBT or MOSFET in the freewheeling path of an inverter, the antiparallel diode of a switching device, a snubber or clamp, and the rectifier of a high-frequency converter. The planar-passivated chip offers low leakage current and improved thermal behavior. The TO-247-2 package mounts with a single screw and a defined thermal path. Every device is factory-traceable and ships with import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS documentation. Designers should match the diode's forward current and recovery charge to the switch and confirm the thermal design. BeiLuo holds this diode in stock and our FAE team supports diode selection, pairing and thermal design.
FAE Professional Review
The DSEP60-06A is the softer-recovery option of the 60 A FRED pair. When EMI or overshoot is the harder constraint, the soft recovery tames the freewheeling path and often removes a snubber. The 60 A rating and TO-247-2 package make it a direct fit for 600 V IGBT and MOSFET stages.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose the soft recovery diode?
Choose the DSEP version when EMI or voltage overshoot is your dominant constraint, because soft recovery limits the current snap at turn-off and reduces ringing. It often removes the need for a snubber in hard-switched circuits.
For minimum recovery loss, the faster DSEI version is better.
How do I pair it with a switch?
Match the diode's forward current and recovery charge to the switch current and frequency so the freewheeling path does not dominate losses. A fast IGBT or MOSFET deserves a fast diode, and the DSEP soft recovery keeps the EMI low.
Our FAE team can recommend a matched pair.
Is the diode genuine and in stock?
BeiLuo supplies factory-traceable DSEP60-06A diodes through IXYS's authorized channel, with import declaration, certificate of origin and RoHS files on every order. Stock is normally available.
